Are we at war with Islam?

Irshad Manji has a provocative book (which I have not yet read) out titled "The Trouble with Islam: A Muslim's call for reform in her faith." She is a Canadian Lesbian Muslim. Bernard Lewis's The Crisis of Islam: Holy war and Unholy Terror provides a history of Islam that attempts to explain Islam's current predicament. So, is President Bush spinning or just plain wrong when he says "We are not at war with Islam?" Is Condi Rice mistaken when she says "This is not a war of religions?"
